History question & Jasmine (sp?) from the CR circa 1990

Well, I have company this weekend.

It's a gal I met around 1990-9? at the Chicken Ranch.  I know I met her before LPIN Gathering2, but I am not so good on dates.

Anyway, anyone remember her?  Her Mother is from Japan, and she has "that look".  Today she looks like she is early 30's, black hair, and VERY attractive.  Long story short, she is "just visiting".

She and her friend (also VERY cute, still lives in Vegas) spent the day at the beach.  I swear she covered herself from head to toe before she would go outside!  She claims the sun is dangerous and makes her look "a lot older".

But, we have been talking about the old days.  She says she remembers Bashful's old website, but not really GP Pays.  She thinks maybe it didn't start till after she quit working at the CR. 

Does anyone remember the dates Bashful ran his site, and when GP Pays took over?

I think Bashful started his site in 1995 and combined with GP in 1996 or early 1997.

We will have to discuss the timeline a little more, cause I thought I had met her about 1990 - but if Bashy didn't have his website going till that much later, maybe it was later I met her.

I know it was before I went to LPIN Gathering2, which was my first trip to Northern Nevada.  Wasn't that in 1998?

Seems to me GP gave awards for 1997?

Well, we are waiting for Jasmine to return from her date.  She called a little bit ago and wanted us to come pick her up, but the guy finally said he would bring her back here.

I guess he insisted on taking her to his place anyway - probably in hopes that she would give it up once they got there.  If he only knew about her past, I am sure he would be really pissed!

(She must of told me a dozen times NOT TO MENTION where I met her to this guy - she didn't want him to know.  As it turned out he didn't even get out of his car when he picked her up - just honked and waited for her in the driveway.  According to her friend that says "loser" right there!)

Her friend and I went out to dinner at a favorite local place, came home, and after she had a couple of Malibu Rums, I had "dessert".  But no sex, that would be cheating on her boyfriend!

Sorry, not LPIN, but that's what happens when you are several hundred miles away from Nevada!

She wants me to post that she spelled her name Jazmin, and had red foil business cards with her name on them spelled that way.

Interesting viewpoint - I will NEVER understand women!!

She says that when she first saw  this guy as she got to his car she had already decided he was a loser..  That the fact he watched her walk to his car, but did not get out to meet her, was a major turn off right there and she got in his car already not liking him all that much.  This was a "power trip" in her mind.  That he should have at least gotten out and come around to greet her, so that she could have gotten a look at him (like he did of her).

That he assumed (from their online chats) that sex was implied on this meeting was just another strike against him.  She had already decided that she would wait till at least the third or fourth meeting.

She told him at dinner that she wasn't going to sleep with him, but he insisted on going to his place anyway.  There she got into another power struggle over him driving her back to my place, and that's when she called us to come get her. 

She won't be seeing him again, I am pretty sure.

All this cause she is looking for a husband.  She wants to get married and have kids.  She finally figured out that her ex boyfriend just wanted sex and to play, and as she says at 40 he was still a teenager.

LPIN Gathering 2 was in 1998 and GP gave out awards which covered the year 2007.  If you're really into this timeline thing there's one way to find out a lot but I'm too lazy to do it.  Bashful made some posts on the old message board about the 10-year anniversary of his first publishing his famous FAQ.  That was what he started his Bashful at Paranoia dot com site with and he started adding to it when people who read his FAQ started sending him information.   I think the posts were made in 2005, that's where the 1995 date comes from.  You could go back to the board archives and start searching them to see when Bashful made those posts.

November 20. 1994 was when Bashy posted his original FAQ.
