The article paints a more realistic view. Brothel owners and the county got together to hash it out which means work out the differences and the county said to write it down and mail it to them which means nothing got done and the county got tired of it. So no brothels have responded which means they aren't contesting any of it.

A prime example of speak the truth on the front end or it catches up to you.  There is a definition for that and it is called....pathological.  Psychopathic + Pathologic equals a problem.

It is often the money (fee increases) that they are interested in.  The signage may be a secondary issue.  I didn't see much else.

Just by reading the markup document, and knowing human nature.  I might have missed something.  It does have a lot of markups, but a lot of them are clerical.

The key is in the lies vs the truth in the article by county officials. No mention of the ACLU.  No lots of things.  And then there may be things not mentioned as of yet.

Pay attention to Nye County law language regarding knowing all investors involved.  They talk about keeping criminal elements out by full disclosure.  RICO is a serious thing...even in Nevada.  In every country where legal brothels exist law enforcement in those countries say for a fact organized crime controls it.  Amsterdam is regretting ever legalizing brothels due to this and the abuse allowed by criminal pimps due to legalization.  I suspect The Sheriff and Nye County Board have information that concerns them in this regard and wish to clean that up if a problem to protect the ladies and the customers from criminal elements who may have found themselves a legalized safe haven for mischief and wrongdoing.
