The date approaches...

Hi all,

So I’ve set up an appointment at the Chicken Ranch and I’ll be headed there in a couple of weeks. As the date approaches, I’ve become both sort of nervous and sort of excited (I’ll be getting the V-card off my chest here!!!). My concerns are:

1.   What’s the drive like from Vegas to Pahrump? I’m from the Midwest and am not used to driving through mountains but I see that NV-160 passes through a small mountain range so I’m slightly concerned about this.
2.   Assuming everything goes well, what can I expect the experience to be like? What are your guys’ experiences walking into a brothel for the first time? Are negotiations awkward at all (especially since what’s allowed sexually and what’s off limits is often discussed)? What can I expect once we get into the bedroom?
3.   Even though I realize that this is all legal and regulated (and quite likely more ethical than anything illegal), I’m still a bit unnerved about the idea that losing my V-card this way might be considered a bit taboo by society at large. How should I deal with this/get over this?

Thanks guys!

I've done that drive from Vegas to Pahrump and back via NV-160 a million times (and I'm also from the midwest) ...LOL.  It a scenic route and you'll pass through parts of Red Rock Canyon on your way out.  The roads aren't too bad going through the mountains, just keep your mind on the roads and your driving and not on the ladies and you should be fine.  ;D

There's also an alternate route via I-15 to Hwy 95 to NV-160, if you want a less scenic route.  You'll enter Pahrump from the opposite end of town.

Also, NHP is always looking for speeders, so don't go too far over the speed limit.

I've done this drive from both sides. It's ok. There's lots of beautiful landscapes. There's lots and lots of nothing, and lonely nothing where you see nothing but gravel and rocks. And cops are definitely in surprising places like the good Doctor said.

Regarding your second question - just be yourself. Be sure you know exactly how much you will spend and not a penny more. Don't try to shortchange the girl. One time I said "hey, I'm going to spend $600 on you" and then I asked if I could half what she offered for $300 - that was awkward, so just know exactly how much you want to spend. Spend that only.

Regarding your third question....
Nike that shit. Just do it. You will worry and worry and once you get it off your back, it might be off your back forever and it will be fine. If not, then perhaps it's because it's an amazing experience and one not worth forgetting. I had a buddy who I took to lose his virginity at a brothel - this was my first experience at a brothel as well, last decade. He was so glad and happy he did it.

But I always say: your mileage may vary. Don't worry about it. If you are...maybe there's a reason? But it's probably not a good one. Good luck. Have fun.  When are you going?

1.  nv hwy 160 is basically a four lane freeway to pahrump.  people generally drive 70-80 for the 60 mile journey.  in other words......a piece of cake.
2.  you can expect the experience to be a good time.  you say you have an appointment, so you must have a girl picked out.  you know what you should do?  communicate with her BEFORE you get to vegas.  flirt with her online.  it will settle you down...and turn you on.  no, you can't negotiate online.  but you can sure have some fun and get answers to your questions.
3.  fuck society.  "society" has its head up its ass.  how is "society" gonna know anything about your adventure in nevada....unless you open your mouth?  "society" isn't gonna know DICK about how you lost your "V-card".....unless you start talking.  so maybe you should just keep it to yourself?

Hi all,

So I’ve set up an appointment at the Chicken Ranch and I’ll be headed there in a couple of weeks. As the date approaches, I’ve become both sort of nervous and sort of excited (I’ll be getting the V-card off my chest here!!!). My concerns are:
I can only imagine how excited and nervous you are. My best advice on this one is, The less you overthink, the better. There is so much advice someone with previous experience can give to you.

1.   What’s the drive like from Vegas to Pahrump? I’m from the Midwest and am not used to driving through mountains but I see that NV-160 passes through a small mountain range so I’m slightly concerned about this.
You will love it! It's such a different landscape ;)
Don't worry, it's not like you will be driving over those impossible cliffs like you see on movies ;)
I was in awe the first time I saw Nevada landscape.

2.   Assuming everything goes well, what can I expect the experience to be like? What are your guys’ experiences walking into a brothel for the first time? Are negotiations awkward at all (especially since what’s allowed sexually and what’s off limits is often discussed)? What can I expect once we get into the bedroom?
You will be so nervous that it's not an easy way to describe, but that is just what happen to us when we are in a different situation. You will probably be a little weak on the legs what it is very cute to see. I think we all been there. Negotiations will depend on the girl too. If you have talked to her before it might be easier to engage in the conversation. Either way, you can do it. Just be nice and polite and if for any reason you don't agree, don't feel bad. Don't go above your meanings or it will hurt the whole experience for you.
It happens and you can go back to the bar area and have a drink until someone approach you or you request someone else. I have been plan be before and that doesn't change the fun if you have a connection ;)
I advise you to be honest and ask if she allow certain activities. This way everyone knows what they want and what can be offered.

3.   Even though I realize that this is all legal and regulated (and quite likely more ethical than anything illegal), I’m still a bit unnerved about the idea that losing my V-card this way might be considered a bit taboo by society at large. How should I deal with this/get over this?
Ethics come from each individual.
You might want or not to tell people about it. Not sure any of your friends or family know you are visiting a brothel, but you can start talking about your emotions with us here. Maybe writing about it can help as well.
I learned about society that many don't care what a person goes thru, they just think it's a natural course that it is taken in life and many don't understand why there are late blummers. Many have some ridiculous answers for it.
The important thing is that you got your self thru your nerves and will experience this wonderful world of intimacy. For now, soak it in and see how it feels. I hope your lady is fun and kind to you. Don't worry about sexual inadequacy, you are learning and sex is an everyday/every time learning process. I am still learning things about my body that I didn't know. Good luck and let us know how did you do.

Thanks guys!

Another Mid-westerner here:

Will be making my next trip in just under two weeks.  Just adding my thoughts to the other responses.

1) Except for one time, the drive is a nice relaxing ride; one time because of low clouds and rain I had to slow down at the high elevation.

2) Nervous - of course, decided to stop at McDonald's on 160 to eat before going to the Chicken Ranch.
You made several decisions already, just keep the process going.  I had overthought the entire process.  My follow-on parties were better.

3) Do not give a shit about what others perceive of your activities, it is your life -ENJOY!

I actually set up the appointment through emailing with the girl, so I've talked with her at least a bit and it does indeed make me feel more comfortable than, say, walking into the place cold without having talked to anyone beforehand. I've pretty much resolved to never tell anyone about this either, especially not a future partner, but I do wonder from time to time if going through with this would mean anything about who I am.

I see what you mean by just following through with the decisions I've made already (especially with the appointment set up). I'm honestly caught halfway in between being painfully nervous/shy about going there and being excited/relieved that I'll be getting this off my back. Hmm...maybe some In-n-Out Burger would be in order on the way there  ::) (especially since I haven't been there before)

Also, just a couple more odds-and-ends questions I have here:

1. Might be a dumb question, but does the shower before the party count against the time you've booked?
2. Outside of sex, I honestly wouldn't mind just sitting at the bar with the girl afterwards and just chatting about dating/sex in general. Do ladies usually charge for something like this?
3. I've heard that it's best to dress nicely before heading to a house, but what level of dressiness would you guys suggest? I'm thinking of taking along a polo, nice pants, and nice shoes as of now.

Thanks again to everyone!

1. I have never had a lady count the shower time against me, except when she joined me!
2. Most ladies will join you in the bar after the party for free.  Note at the CR, the lady and the guy will use different paths to get to the Longhorn Bar.
3. Appear presentable, no suit, no rip clothes, no gang attire, dress as if you are out to have a casual good times with friends.  I typically wear jeans with a comfortable shirt. Clean t-shirts are okay.

Watch out for slow moving vehicles on NV160 right after leaving Vegas as there is some major construction going on also in Pahrump. Watch your speed by Mountain Springs as the steep grade will get you.
The shower usually does not cost, but email the lady and ask. Usually a lady won't charge you at the bar, but some might say I need to go I have another appointment. Dress nicely is good.
As for society, who cares, people are going to judge you regardless whether you dress a certain way, eat a certain food, or listen to certain music. People judge me because I work 60 hours a week to pay for things I like and I always say are you going to give me $500 and that shuts them down every time.

Thanks guys, this has really been helpful. I have one more question, however - what's the usual policy on cell phones at these places? I've heard something before about needing to leave your phone in the car because phones aren't allowed in, is this true?

Some brothels have signs saying no cell phones or photography. I usually leave my cell phone in the car when I'm at a brothel.

Keep it in your pocket, no photos.
