Talk about anything relating to Las Vegas Hotels.  From Strip Hotels to Fremont Street..... Off the Strip Hotels to perhaps even Pahrump Hotels.....  any suggestions where to stay?

Mid week Fremont street had great rates or if on the strip maybe Luxor or Excaliber

I usually stay at a Caesars/Harrahs property on the strip. Caesars would be the most expensive of them, but you can get a nice room at Harrahs and the  others close by for under $100 a night.

I satyed at golden nugget old vegas and the room was as nice as caesars rooms but for less than 100 a night, caesars tends to be more expensive. I think it was $79 at golden nugget.

The casinos want your money, so they are more than happy to put you up for a decent rate, especially on a mid week and not a holiday.

Arizona Charlies has nice rooms and rates.... buffet isn't fancy, but good price for what they serve. Its off strip on Decatur....

Keep an eye out for the new Asian place opening up. Resorts world. Plus there are more direct flights coming in from China. Big business expected.

Even if you gamble just a little, be sure to sign up for the casino players card at whichever property you plan to stay at or visit.  It's free to join the players clubs.  Chances are you will start receiving discount or comp offers via email and/or snail mail that you can use on future trips.

Don't forget to factor in the Resort Fees, as well as other fees which can more than double the cost of your hotel room.  There are very few hotel/casinos left in Vegas that don't charge Resort Fees.

All of the MGM properties in Vegas now charge fees for self-parking and valet, even for guests staying at there properties.  I think the first hour for self-parking is free and I heard that valet parking is somewhere around $30 which doesn't include the tip.

Some of the off-strip properties on Boulder Hwy (e.g. Sam's Town, Eastside Cannery) often have better room rates than the LV strip or downtown hotel/casinos.

I like staying at Boyd properties (e.g. Orleans, Mainstreet Station, Sam's Town, etc.), since they've been giving me the best comps based on my limited play.

In Pahrump, I usually stay at the Best Western or Saddle West.  I think someone posted awhile back that the new Holiday Inn is suppose to be pretty nice.

Over the years I've stayed just about everywhere on the strip, and many of the off strip properties as well. Usually I come to town for a specific event and go for the hotels closest to what I'm in town for, whether its Cesears, MGM, Mandalay Bay, or now with T-Mobile Arena, Monte Carlo.

I think my next visit will be for an event at the Palms, so will be staying either there or the Rio.

This is true, but the fees are waived if you've reached certain levels of their players club:

They are one of the only hotels that does not charge a "resort fee"   The suites are really nice for entertaining company too.  ;)   I stay on Boulder all the time (many times under $40 during the week).

On the strip, I took an internet special for The Linq.  It was great.  It's kind of in the middle of the strip, so I could easily just walk either direction from there when I went out.

Fantastic Location..... Exit to the right..... Caesar's Palace is next door followed by the Bellagio.  Across the street and to the left is the Venetian, the Palazzo, Wynn, and Encore.

Poker room -- not as large as the Venetian or the Bellagio.  What I like about it..... how fast the waitresses serve FREE DRINKS!   8)

Holiday Inn Express in Pahrump is awesome, plus you get coupons for the casinos in Pahrump.

Stayed at Monte Carlo this year. Not real impressed, but the stadium looked pretty awesome out the window......
I'd like to stay downtown my next trip to Las Vegas at the Golden Nugget. Looked like they've really put some effort into improving the joint. Swim pool, aquarium, room renovations, and they say the price is a lot better than the strip? Anyone stay recently at the GN? Thoughts?

I've stayed on the strip for all my visits.  My favorites so far based on where I've stayed are the Flamingo, MGM and Harrah's.  The Flamingo and Harrah's are in the middle of the strip.  Carnival buffet at Harrah's is very good.
