No, Caesars properties just charge resort fees that are sometimes as high as the price of the room or higher.

So do the MGM and many other of the strip properties as well.

I think the golden Nugget charges something like $5 which is a fraction of what the Caesars resorts charge.  As far as I know, 4 Queens doesn't charge any resort fee.

Resort fee at the Golden Nugget is $27.50 - http://www.goldennugget.com/lasvegas/faq.asp

And while the resort fees are getting out of hand, I haven't seen any that are as high as the price of the room or higher.  Maybe higher than another cheaper hotel/motel.  Although, sometimes I get comp rooms and still have to pay the resort fee, so in that case it's higher.  But that's not what you meant.

According to the link on reply #49:

Four Queens -- does not charge a resort fee.

The LINQ -- resort fee is $29.00 + tax.

Las Vegas Hotel Resort Fees 2016

Wow, Golden Nugget has changed. It only use to be about $5.  No wonder why their room offers have been so good lately. They're picking it up on the back end of the deal through resort fees.

Thanks for the info.

Well he couldn't get the comps...they wouldn't use the comps he got in Reno to use on the rooms in Vegas. I just booked my room for Circus Circus.
Can I get this straight...so Circus Circus has no resort fee in Reno but it does in LV?

Are they even the same owners?

I love Las Vegas. I like going there and looking at all the stuff but I have to agree with fly on the hotels. Change the name of the Imperial Palace to the Ling,  put some new wall paper up and install some new carpets and charge $100 more per night.  Same thing with Bill's that was a great Strip Hotel.  Great room Rates and food deals not to mention Big Elvis in the lounge.  Turned it into a boutique hotel where they expect you to put on a tuxedo and eat fried chicken with a knife and fork.  There are still some good bargains in Vegas, just not any of the Caesar's properties and not on the strip. Golden Nugget and 4 queens are very nice at good rates. Plenty of decent hotel/casinos off the strip at good rates too.

BTW: What in the fuck is a Ling?

Fuck Caesars and their Ferris Wheel which they can stick right up their ass.

LOL their Ferris Wheel (Amusement ride) is actually called High Roller  ;D.

https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/High_Roller_

Behind the Mirage at their pool the High Roller can be viewed.  That's one tall Ferris Wheel at a height of 550 feet.
Interesting stat..... "a single 30-minute ride, the time taken for the entire wheel to rotate once"

This is correct. Circus Circus Reno recently (within the last year I believe) was sold.

As I expected, CET properties on the LV strip are playing follow the leader and are now going to charge for parking.  Although, Total Rewards member who are platinum and above will still received free self-parking.

Stayed at the Sands in Reno . They tacked on 12 bucks a day in Taxes about resort fees . Maybe more

The Sands is really going down hill fast - as the prices are going up!   Up until last year, I stayed there every time I visited Reno.   No more!    The Nugget has much better deals through Hotels.com and is a lot nicer.
History will absolve me
