Well, at least new for me. It's a 1956 Spice Chest radio model 484. Really cool and American made in Inglewood Ca. by the Guild Radio and Television co.. All wood with woden doors that open and close. A little humming in the background which might be a bad capacitor. I'll have time to clean it and test all the tubes for strength later but it plays strong and pulls in distant stations. Cosmetically, it's in excellent condition. I saw one on the internet for $175. I bought this one for $60 and I bought it at a hospice sale so it goes to a good cause.
When I get through collecting, my house will look like a cross between Fred Sanford's junk yard and a pawn shop.
