Ok,
So I finally broke down and forced myself to watch Love Ranch the movie. In terms of the criticisms, not all of it was justified. There are parts that don't jibe with either history or the rest of the movie but for just entertainment it was ok.
1. Why did the "Bontemps" really bring in the third rate boxer to the ranch to train? Was Mr. "Bontemp" that narrow sighted/impulsive? It didn't do anything good for the ranch when the dude got shot (except give it some murder infamy and make the feds/authorities want to go after him).
2. Did Mr. "Bontemp" really skip outta the country and leave Sal...errr... Mrs. "Bontemp" alone to face music and did she actually do jail time?
But otherwise it was ok. Interesting line by Mrs. "Bontemp"... "Momma told it was better to run the working girls than to be one"...
