Sportsman,
Thanks for the info & link!
Collector/Distributor roads are nothing new for us here in the Midwest. In fact, we have one of the longest exit ramps in the world here in Indy which uses one. If you're traveling eastbound on Interstate 70, approaching Indianapolis International Airport, and wish to take I-465 South (or I-74 East, which runs along it), you have to exit I-70 onto a parallel C/D system near mile marker 69, even though you won't actually get to where I-465 crosses under I-70 until near mile marker 73! That's effectively a four mile long ramp!
Glad to see they're finally widening Blue Diamond (NV 160) west of Rainbow. It'll be a mess, but once it's done only the part from the 159 junction to Mountain Springs Summit will be in need of improvement.
Have fun up at LPIN GatheringM-15 (and watch out for all the Reno/CC road construction projects)!
Best regards,
Speed Racer
