Well... I am a first time Grand Dad now.  My daughter just gave birth to a son earlier today.  They are both doing great.  I rocked him for an hour, then I ask her if I can start spoiling him now.  Then I laughed a slightly wicked laugh.

Take care,
afriend

Congratulations!!!! That is VERY exciting!

Hey!  Congratulations, Afriend!  Get that kid a pacifier, or better yet, the real thing!
As I was leaving the hospital yesterday after holding him, he started screaming.  I think he has the right idea... he just wanted a little bit of mothers milk.

Wow you must be getting old. Well maybe you can introduce him to the wonders of LPIN someday.
Old is a state of mind... and I'm just a pup.  I would not be surprised if I took him to one someday.

Bobbi, Gray Hound, Geo, Lydia, Kalli:

Thanks so much.  I was going to post individually to all, but it just got to be too much.  Thanks again for your well wishes.

Congrats!  Old timer (j/k)!  :D

I'm sure you'll be having a good time spoiling that kid rotten!  Of course, I've heard that's the fun part of being a grandpa.   :)

For some reason that I have yet to fathom everyone keeps mentioning "old".  I just don't get the connection.   ;)  :D

Thanks Dr. Who,

Congratulations...you are now a member of one of the great families!
But, Afriend...you gotta ways to go...I have seven grandchildren, with
the youngest 15 ... and five great-grandkids...ranging from 3 to 11...
One thing awesome about grandkids...at the end of the day and when
you are seeking some real peace and quiet...they go home! LOL :o
