Wrapping up a fantastic fall trip to Elko. Another wonderful trip!

Going to try one thread this time instead of multiple.

First, and most importantly, the wonderful ladies!

Mila - Mona's - There isn't much more I can say about Mila that I haven't said in one of my previous reviews. She's one of my favorite humans on the planet and there are many reasons she is a COY winner. I don't come out here if Mila isn't around, she (and Vladimir, of course) are the core of my visit and she never disappoints! I always leave her infinitely more relaxed and joyful than when I arrived. If you haven’t spent time with her yet, go look at yourself in the mirror and give yourself a stern talking to.

I tried to diversify a little more this trip rather than just monopolize Mila all week, though a Milanopoly is never a bad plan….

Reign - Mona's - It's easy to see why Reign is becoming a favorite! She strikes me as extremely intelligent and capable, but very friendly and easy to talk to. She's incredibly attractive - and by the way she uses it, she knows it. She has a very playful personality and is very easy to get acquainted with and ease the "first party" tensions. It doesn't hurt that she has great taste in music - I walked out of our first party adding several artists to my spotify playlist! I had several interactions with her during my trip and found each more satisfying than the last. I hope Reign has a long happy and prosperous career here, I certainly hope to see her again!

Mila/Reign Together - Mona’s - Reign's playful sensuality and Mila's fun and bubbly side play well together - I had so much fun I had to plan another before leaving. 1000% highly recommend.

Summer - Inez’s - Summer is a relatively new arrival at Inez’s, having previously worked at Bella’s. Despite appearing very young, Summer handles herself like a pro. She’s very kind and absolutely knows what she’s doing during a party. I think she’s a great addition to the Elko team. She had heard of the board and had some questions and expressed some interest in the community, so maybe we’ll see her here someday!

Sarah - Inez’s - Hanging out with Sarah was a real treat - I found a southern girl! I’d been hoping to party with her since seeing her photos on the Dovetail site a few years ago, at which time I didn’t even know what part of the world she was from, I just thought she had a very cute smile! I’m thrilled to finally catch up with her. While I very much enjoy meeting the wonderful diversity of courtesans, it was pretty refreshing to spend some time with someone that feels like “home”. Sarah is so funny and personable - her charm is natural and infectious. We spent a lot of time laughing together and sharing stories - and she’s of course very skilled at what she does.

Now less important matters that might help future visitors:
Hotel - Maverick Casino - I learned my lesson last fall - I like being warm, so don’t book too cheap of a hotel when the Elko nights turn frigid. Maverick did not disappoint - comfy room, reasonable price, good service. They’ve redone much of the casino and it’s pretty nice IMO.

Food
Aspen’s inside Maverick - I shared this in a previous review I think, but this is the best “nice restaurant” I’ve found in Elko. I’m shocked at the quality of shrimp I got in the middle of the desert - everything I’ve had has been wonderful. Pricy, though, so not a great budget pick.

Coffee Garden” inside Maverick - Again with this place and naming diner-type restaurants “coffee shops”. I don’t know, but I ate here for lunch most days (I was working remotely from the room). The Philly cheesesteak is phenomenal - ask your server for some au jus with it. It was Fire, as summer might say. And the folks working here were really kind and sweet.

Lucianos - I decided to give Lucianos another shot - it’s so well reviewed that maybe my first trip was a dud…. Unfortunately, for my tastes, Lucianos just ain’t it. The mozzarella sticks were the highlight of the meal, at least those were pretty good! The rest of the food just lacked in flavor.

Odeh’s Mediterranean - I gave them high marks on my last review and double them in this one. Best food in Elko in my opinion. I ate here twice and got some pretty healthy food at a reasonable price with a great taste. If you like mediterranean food at all, I implore you to give them a try!

Last but not least, I have to give a shoutout to the staff at Mona’s and Inez’s. I owe Louis dinner if I ever meet him, he helps make the trip such a breeze. Always a text away if I need anything. This remains the biggest piece of advice I can give prospective visitors - call and introduce yourself to Louis.

Anna and the bartenders are the best. I reckon the atmosphere they promote is a large part of why folks are happy here - and happy folks make happy trips. I was really pleased to see that I knew all of the bartenders from prior visits and such low turnover in staff speaks volumes for the management.

Thanks for a great trip, folks - one more tomorow and then I'll hopefully see you in the spring!

Thanks so much for the detailed review! I missed the buffet where Maverick used to be the Red Lion. I'm sorry Lucianos didn't suit your taste. I enjoyed my one experience there. Perhaps I'm not a picky eater.  :) Don't forget Toki Ona next time.

Unfortunately Luke’s has gone down hill….

Sad story but sometimes divorces ruin restaurants. However elko has many other options and some newer ones too!  Thanks for the feedback!

Toki Ona is great! After 4 pm they serve great dinners at reasonablr prices and you will not leave there  hungry. i like the baked salmon, a huge chunk served on a wooden board and several side dishes included. I haven't been to the Star yet, but will be going there next month. I get the impression that Toki Ona is a smaller, less expensive version of the Star.

Thank you for the lodging recommendation, re: Maverick.  The last time I visited, I stayed at Stockmen's.  It wasn't necessarily a horrible experience, but the people sleeping above me were stomping around horribly all night long.

Thankfully winter is coming to a close and I start travelling again.  These reviews really help tide me over until I can get back through Elko.  I always have a car, so completely echo every nice thing about Maverik...wouldn't stay anywhere else.
