Getting upset on hooker board, see it for what it is!  LOL

Dennis has changed the brothel-business.  Without him, brothels would have died out.

I have no issues with Hof or how many Brothels he owns.  I go to see the ladies regardless of who owns the house.  I understand Dennis has upset some people and they have decided not to visit his houses.  For me it is all about the ladies.

I do like to have options though, when I am in Wells I always check out both houses just to see what my options are.  If Hof bought a house in Wells, I would still visit.  As a matter of fact I think there are some positive things that Hof brings to the houses.

Just my thoughts.

Here's a far better question who determines this, owing too much thing. Its in the person's own view, think in other industries; is it MS in the computer software/OS or Apple, is it GM or Ford or Toyota; maybe its McDonalds or Burger King. See its in how you view it that enters into how your viewing this with Dennis.

I say he must be doing something as it appears his business is expanding and others are not. So give some credit for his expanding, what it means for the business as a whole at this time is unknown as is the future.

Hof can buy them all for all I care, but that is rather large assumption on your part Madison no offense attended.

Brothels have been around in one form or another long before Hof, and it would not shock me if they continue on in some form after he is gone.

That being said If there are no brothels in Heaven Hof will be the first guy to open one.

It will be called Hof's Heavenly Angels or Something like that. ;D

Seriously I will agree with you on one thing Madison Hof has changed things, but to claim they would have died out already if he never got into the business.  I highly doubt that is the case.  Brothels were around before him and they will be around after.  You said brothels you did not say LPIN in its present form if that is what you meant that is a little bit different discussion and could maybe be debated he has if nothing else prolonged the life of the present legal system as it is right now. but brothels in some form were around before Hof, and most likely will be around in some form after he has left this world.

I will say this love him or hate him guys no one can claim he does get you all talking about his brand.

So I will respect his sometimes over the top but some how effective way of marketing his business.

No such thing as bad press in this case.  Just how you master the spin control. ;D

There are those that believe that the brothels are on the decline BECAUSE of Dennis.

Representing that parties start at several thousand dollars sends a strong signal to the Average Joe that brothels are out of his price range.

The Indy scene, on the other hand, is absolutely booming right now.  And since it is now fairly common knowledge that, if you do your homework, you can find indys starting around $200-250/hr,  sometimes less, WHY would you want to spend thousands of dollars for the same service?

I've heard multiple times now from courtesans THAT HAVE WORKED FOR DENNIS, as well as at other brothels, about how sometimes they might go a week or more between parties.  Talking to the 'veteran ladies' whom have been around for a while, it didn't used to be this way.

I've even had some of them tell me about how they end up having to 'work' their room rent off 'in trade with sexual services' because of this!

So, lessee, prices are SIGNIFICANTLY higher now, traffic is SIGNIFICANTLY less by most of the reports I've heard from ladies, and at least one doctor that tests them regularly...

Yes, I'm sure there are those that are still raking in some dough, but I'm seeing a LOT of ladies not succeeding in this biz these days.  Some even have 'day jobs' to cover the famines between parties.

When you price yourself out of the market, don't wonder why the customers aren't biting...

( "Minister of Southern Nevada"?  Sounds so generic, Bach. I'll have to come up with something better than that. LOL. Maybe since I'm a Reiki Master and an Ordained Minister - YOU  can call me Master Pastor, or since I'm an Auctioneer and a Madam you can call me Madam Colonel or since I'm a Switch you can call me Mistress Slave...Oh! I think you might like that one.  ;D )  Of course I find your blanket statement that "Dennis is a bad businessman" humorous.  You came to that conclusion how? Can I assume you've been analyzing his bank statements and feel he's just not pulling in enough money?  Or did you just assume that he's doing all this for funzies & doesn't care if he makes a dime on his investments.  Perhaps you sat down and had a discussion with him on his fiscal philosophy?  Just asking.  Oh wait - I see your rationale now - You're good at predictions "like this".  Well,  at least you are consistant about posting like you have a clue what you're talking about.  You're predictable.  I'll give you that.

Yet another clueless reply from Sonja that doesn't even acknowledge what I said. At least you didn't tell me I need to get laid or start psychoanalyzing me. I specifically mentioned that he didn't treat customers well (e.g., no concern about privacy) and that he doesn't know how to compete. If he did, the illegal market would be smaller. However, it's much larger than LPIN and seems to weed out bad providers rather quickly while also being reasonably priced. His antagonistic attitude toward literally the only forum that is dedicated to discussing his industry in a positive light is further evidence of how clueless he is. Instead of going where the actual customers are, he focuses on getting his name in the media any way he can. There's also the fact that a lot of women seem to be repulsed by the idea of working for him. These things are the tip of the iceberg. What other business could be run that way where you would consider the owner a good businessman?

I also base my opinion on where I think the economy is headed. I won't predict a timeline for these events, but I do see the problems. I think it will be worse than what happened a few years ago. From what I've read, that was a very bad time for the brothels. I see buying all these brothels as a bad business decision in the current economic climate.

I've even had some of them tell me about how they end up having to 'work' their room rent off 'in trade with sexual services' because of this!

And my opinion of Dennis has dropped even lower.

I also thought I had heard all of the Dennis stories till we heard this one last weekend. Sonja, do you approve of letting the boss fuck your ladies down south to work off their room and board? Only proves how slow it has been down there. Fucking disgusting! YOU READING THIS KRISSY!

Not sure where Oddball mentioned it was down south... interesting read though.

In the abstract, one might oppose one person owning "too many" brothels--but suppose the prior owners were no longer willing to run brothels and nobody else wanted to buy?  Would closing the brothels help either the girls or the customers?

Hey!! I just want to put it out there that I am fucking no one for room/board.. **Except clients.**
I'm home and I'm paying for my room to be empty by choice. Rent for a week is really not that hard to make.
I personally don't like anything but professional relationships at work but I don't know what's right anymore.  I dated a woman client for a few years when I was doing hair.  And almost married a client I met escorting in the UK. Sooo..I gotta stop that shit.

Although Ive never done it, Im all for fucking someone to GET somewhere.. But make sure you actually get somewhere out of it.  ;D.  Ramble ramble..

"Although Ive never done it, Im all for fucking someone to GET somewhere.. But make sure you actually get somewhere out of it."

Quoted myself.. If anyone takes this in any strange way.. (I got questioned). Remember, I come from LA where people are always screwing rock stars, celebs, on casting couches, etc.. My boss at a hair salon repeatedly tried to have sex with me. (Early career). I refused, and got fired.  I would say I'd sleep with Obama.. But in the end, Id still have to pay taxes I am sure.  Contracts are key!! Even in a marriage.

Oddball, which ladies have told you they had to work off rent? Just wondering.. Because if a girl couldn't bring in $15- $25- per day, then no one is fu*king her at all and should probably get a job at McDonald's.
