The best thing about Elko is that you can book a hotel, go to a 5 star restaurant,  go to bars, and then to Mona's and Inez all by walkin down the same street...

Really we have everything blocks away no other brothel city has this.

Which is why it's more like a red light district than the other place

Yep! An overall fun & affordable place to visit for everyone but the Elko brothels & its ladies are the BEST parts for me.

The Hiking Guy...and planning 2 more trips to Elko before the end of the year.

There's actually red light districts in major cities pretty much everywhere. Though minus the brothel aspect. However the strip clubs, sex shops, bars, etc group together in one spot and then you get the lovely individuals who subtly or not so subtly hang out to get their business. I'm well aware of the big one in Dallas and other TX cities.  Heck, in some cities there's separate ones for the LGBT community. I know where the LGBT red light district in Philadelphia is - it's actually a pretty fun place. I worked Philly's big one as a gogo dancer at a themed club but all around were gentleman's clubs of varying levels of performances that were within the laws plus the sex shops and even porno theaters (and of course the people utilizing the environment for making their bank). This for me was 2008-2009 so I couldn't say what's still there now. I know the club I was a gogo in changed hands long after I stopped working there, in 2011.

Basically that was my way of saying, I agree more with what Rachel said.  A few brothels next to each other is not an actual red light district. The core of the whole vicinity needs to focus on sex and hedonism and debauchery. Elko's area seems to fit the bill slightly more.

Bobbi's Storyville thread http://sex-in-nevada.net/smforum/index.php?topic=23759.0 demonstrates what a full blown real red light district, versus a mere advertising label, is.
Historically, these have been common in towns and cities throughout the US (ignoring the rest of the world for this discussion) such as Hotel Street in Honolulu, the various tenderloins of San Francisco and New York, "The Line" in Dallas and so forth. I suspect the publicly open versions have gotten closed down largely because they are an easy mark for politicians, being, like "assault gun" bans a means of appearing to take action without actually changing anything, particularly sources of contributions and graft.
It's an interesting contrast between how the Navy handled Storyville and how it approached Hotel Street. Both were viewed as the source of STDs (then VD), but while Storyville was forced underground, they placed Hotel Street under the supervision of the Provost Marshall, registered the ladies and instituted regular medical checks, as well as providing the troops with condoms.

By your pictures of ladies on your websites do see many attractive ladies.  Wasn't aware of the surrounding businesses in Elko.  Reading other replies a possible conclusion is the Elko Red Light District is more likely considered a Red Light District than the Moundhouse Red Light District?
Because Madam Tara and Madam Jennifer mistreat, bully, wanting to control numerous people; I stopped visiting the Mustang Ranch.  Therefore, can no longer recommend this business.

Elko
In Elko = 3 1/2 hrs from major airport
All houses within a few steps of each other
All affordable ladies
Smaller overall number to choose from
Multiple house owners

Moundhouse
45 min from major airport
3 of 4 houses within a few steps of each other 4th less than mile away
Prices range from affordable to outrageous
2-3 X more ladies to choose from
One house owner

Its exactly 34 minutes to the airport and if the truth be known its probably 4 to 5 times the number of girls

...and since the truth IS known about Elko county brothels, there ARE about 2-3 times the number of "AFFORDABLE" ladies working in Elko county compared to Moundhouse!  Like I said in a prior post elsewhere on this forum, "affordability" of parties with the LPIN ladies is a BIG part of determining which "Red Light District" to visit.

The Hiking Guy

The Hiking Guy

"AFFORDABLE" like this word with comparisons.  A $300/hr fixed rate or a little higher cost could be the rate per hour for a party in Elko?  Whereas, Moundhouse prices for a one hour party could vary from "AFFORDABLE" to "OUTRAGEOUS"?  Maybe a few Moundhouse Ladies would be similar in cost to a lady in Elko?  Or have read many Moundhouse ladies rates were starting at $600/hr?  Or even significantly higher rates quoted like higher than a rate of $2,000/hr?

By pictures of ladies seeing more and more attractive ladies working in Elko.  A few months ago started a topic, "Hotness Scale -- current Mona's & Inez's Ladies vs current Hof Ladies"

Kitty is right. It doesn't have to have brothels. Technically so America's red light district is more likely in a place like Vegas. I understand that Hof wants to be the king of all sex but he can't be because there is more to it than a bunch of trailers strung together in the desert.

All this has to yet to be taken into context relating to the history of red light areas, as times and locations for which is the present holder of the so called title of leading red light district.

Going back other areas have had sections where multiple places were located which could be termed the red light district. Such as way back like pioneer days where the mining camps you'd find the saloons which often doubled as the houses.

Now many are forgetting Ely had a read light district that contained cribs (term for rooms where the ladies worked). At one time there were 3 houses there now 2, located close. Sure times and local econ has made it far less than in past.

Now days its Elko which has seen boom/bust cycles, I recall seeing it doing very slow for some time and yet did well during a mining boom period several years ago. Now do to some good management and super talent it is again doing well for the houses. Great talent at affordable prices that with management going out to find and bring in yet more talent has now made it the area to visit.

I always liked Elko & Winnemucca (before they closed and demolished - Simone's, Pussycat and My place). Both these close to Hotels and restaurants mostly in a walking distance. From Elko, it's easy to take side trips to Carlin and Wells. Also a good stopover at Battle Mountain going east or west on I-80.

I've had two recent trips to Elko...
During my June2016 trip to Elko I had a total of 9 parties (all 1 hour parties & about half of them at Sue's) for $3100.
During my July2016 trip to Elko I had a total of 9 parties (all 1 hour parties with only 1 at Sue's) for $3500.

So, yes, one can get more parties in Elko for some of the "outrageous" hourly rates I've been quoted in Moundhouse--$3k to $5k per hour were the HIGHEST hourly rate quotes I received in Moundhouse but there are ladies there who are much more "reasonable" than that. I've had an easier time getting a party at the Sagebrush than anywhere else in Moundhouse but Elko still wins at having the largest # of "affordable" ladies available for the "budget minded" mongers visiting the Nevada brothels.
