Hey guys,

Would anyone be interested in a private guided tour of our ghost town?

Elko has a full day of guided tour destinations too.

http://www.exploreelko.com/recreation/summer/historical_tours_and_ghost_towns.php

Let me know .

Thanks
Louis

Elko has a ghost town?  Sounds kinda fun!  What all is involved?

Yup exploring the towns that have left but buildings or few marks of passing are interesting to see in view of the history possible as to why they began and ended. Some of the people who lived there could be colorful as were happenings of the town.

I've been looking for other things to do in the Elko area for my upcoming trip, thanks for the link!

That websites great, found a bunch of other stuff on it too.

Anyone have any comments or tips on the Spruce Mountain Mining District, The Pony Express Donner Trail, or the California Trail in particular?

There is a really cool museum just west of Elko on the westbound side.  I think it's around Exit 295?  It shows the entire Westward Expansion plus gives a great narrative of the Donner party.  It's free!   Plan on at least 2 hours.
