Temp .. I was told that It is all Politics between California and Nevada .. I do know that a friend of mine who lives in Pahrump is tired of the liberal Californians moving there .. Besides who could put Up with Brown as a Governor  :o

I would think that if one is a liberal then living in California would be nirvana,
plenty of laws and regulations and ever increasing high taxes.

Why would a liberal want to move out of California?

Here's a list of the out of state permits that are honored in Nevada.

http://rccd.nv.gov/Resources/Carry_Concealed_Weapon_(CCW)_Permit/

I am surprised that among the big blue states with strict permitting laws,
Nevada recognizes Illinois, but not California (right next door) nor New York.

Part of reason of Nevada not recognizing California is that they refuse to recognize Nevadas CCW, even though the requirements are basically the same.

Now does this apply only to resident carry permits for those respective states or can they include non-resident permits from those states as well?

Here's another link that show if Nevada honors residents, non resident or both.  But each site I've looked at there usually one of two state on one site and the next site says those state aren't on the list.

when you come to the ranch please remember to put your pistol in the front with the bartenders before we go in the back guys :-) I’m a big proponent of  gun rights, but get very nervous when gentlemen with open carry or conceal carry take their guns to the party room and I don’t realize it until I’m in the back and there’s a big gun I didn’t know about- which happened to me the other day because I guess my client had a conceal carry permit- and I didn’t know and was suddenly feeling uncomfortable during the party. I always ask guys to remove guns and knives at the front and double check in case a bartender misses it, and I still miss them sometimes, but many guys carry some protection in my experience.

But, in response to your question, I think you should be fine with your permit here.

Don't worry Lucie, you're not the only one. A lot of girls I party with are surprised by my "big gun". ;)
