I would greatly appreciate getting information from those who visited Ely LPIN houses in the recent years. I'm planning on making a side trip to Ely during my next I-80 LPIN trip.

It's been a year since I've been to Ely but at the time both houses were open. The Big 4 was open 24 hours and the Stardust open from 11am to 2am. It's hit or miss as far as the ladies go with neither house having many working. The ladies at the Big 4 also work at the massage parlor next door.

Both are no pressure houses. No buzzers involved, just walk in and have a seat at the bar. If you want to see the ladies they will call a lineup but if all you want is a drink that's good too.

OldFatMan,
Thank you and I really appreciate for providing some info on Ely LPIN houses. This is good ino. I'm still thinking is it really worth making a drive form Wells to Ely. Any suggestions from you or from others will be greatly appreciated.

Seeing you'll be in the neighborhood if you visit Ely, if you haven't seen Lehman Caves in Baker NV yet, I'd recommend the visit.

I've found some real gems in Ely, the places at times seem more like the local gathering place. The number varies as to how many will be working, and that's just part of the adventure.

Agree with oddball visit GBNP is a good side trip, also try the train ride in Ely.

Thanks to Oddball & bones for more info on Ely and about Baker, and greatly appreciated. If I can't make it to Ely during next I-80 LPIN trip this year, it will be great to visit Baker and the caves during summer. Visiting caves and scenic drives will make up if nothing interesting in Ely LPIN houses.

Funseeker here's the link for the train

http://nevadanorthernrailway.net/

Also the Border Inn along on hwy 6/50 at the state line is a decent place to stop at small cafe and an area with slot machines.

This just slammed through the old mind as I looked at some rock samples for my desert trip.

If your into rockhounding any there's a public place around Ely for garnets to visit. Also Cave Lake and a mountain tour loop might be open until winter closes the road.

bones - Thanks for the additional info. I'm not into rockhounding. However, I'm very much into (LPIN of cousre!!) train rides, visiting museums, caves, casinos, etc.... Seems like, it will be a great summer trip to Ely next year. I will be really looking forward to visiting Ely!! This year just another I-80 LPIN trip.
