Agreed that the "Reviews" or whatever you want to call these should be moved to the forum you are suggesting. However, Crock's review is not the first to be posted in this forum. You should also post your message on all the others as well, and not single him out.

I have said the same thing to others, both in PMs and in discussions in the General Forum.   I responded to CrockHarker because of his statement "I decided that I would start posting a few reviews in here" which indicates to me that he either did not read the pinned topic I pointed out or planned to ignore it and that this was going to be an ongoing activity.

I think the guys would also use the field report option more if they were easier to find. They are tucked away it seems, and I'm not the first to say that. I'm not mad or trying to be rude, IB, just being honest.

Things only seem hidden if you have no desire to look for them.   This website has extensive content beyond this message board.   As far as the field reports go there is a link to the main field report page in the Links to other SIN content in the links section of the board, which is the appropriate place for it to be.   There is also a link to the field report database search in the rotating news items that appear at the top of every message board page every time a new page is loaded.   There is also a news fader on the front page of the message board and the very first item that comes up every time you visit the message board is the field report database search.

In fact I've made a couple of posts recently in the General Forum not only giving people the location of the links for field reports but even provided my preferred format for field reports.   It's like the old saying that you can lead a horse to water but you can't make him drink, you can lead a poster to knowledge but you can't make him read it.

And it seems like something funny always happens when I am in a party with Ruby. About 45 minutes into our negotiated hour party (including the free 30 minutes from the special) the friendly "Time to re-party" lady chimed into the room. Ruby looked at me and asked, "Did that feel like an hour to you?" In all reality, it never feels like an hour to me (LOL!!!) so I said, "No, not really."

Funny? Maybe it is just me, but I don't think I would be laughing if the cashier tried to cheat me out of a 1/4 of my paid party! If I was in the middle of intercourse and she had to leave to make it right with the " friendly lady", I'd be pissed. Ruby did the right thing as expected, but this paragraph certainly doesn't make the LRN look good in the eyes of many of us veteran Mongers. Getting cheated on time is NEVER cool no matter how you decide to look at it. Sorry.

I would say that in easily half of the parties I've had at the Love Ranch, going all the way back to when it was called Kitty's, the cashier has called in at least 15 minutes and often a half-hour early.   The girls have always given me my proper time.   I have no idea what the motivation is behind this but it's gotten to where I expect it anymore.

I have found a lot of this content by browsing around site, but I wouldn't say this stuff is necessarily easy to find. You are expecting visitors and members to look where you post information on this content. Not everybody is going to do that, especially considering some sections of the site are orphan pages or sections with no links to other sections. A persistent navigation menu in the header that appears on all pages would make it easier to find the main sections of the site. I realize this is a bit more challenging since you have static pages and scripts like SMF, but it could be done. I'd probably include links like this:

Forum
Chat
Field Reports
Ladies' Pages
Driving Directions
etc.

This would allow anyone to access the major sections of the site from a menu that appears on all pages.

I make a living entirely online from various websites I own. If my visitors are experiencing trouble with my site, I look at what I might have gotten wrong, especially if it's something that happens a lot. I recently made changes to a few sites after getting the same question on where to find something from several visitors. Feel free to ignore my advice. I certainly don't want to tell you how to run your site. I just thought I'd give you a perspective from someone who does this for a living.

I appreciate your advice.  Let me start by saying I am not a computer guy.  I'm a chemist that picked up a book on HTML in early 1998 and made a website for a working lady friend of mine because she couldn't get the guy she was working with to give her what she wanted.

Later that year I saw a need for a complimentary site to the old GPPAYS site.  There were things I thought were important that he wasn't providing so I started SIN.  At that time it was a simple site, a few pages of content all connected by navigation links.  When GP shut down his site I added Bashful's content to this site.   Then we added a message board.   Then we added field reports because the way it was being done on other sites, report forums on message boards, just weren't conducive to finding information.  Then we added...well, you get the idea.

When we used the old script from Matt's Archive it was easy to list content links.  I just put them in a table at the top of the board.  Here it's not so easy but I am using the tools I have available.  I have what I feel is the most often requested and useful content linked from a links forum, and yes, everything people have complained are hidden are linked in that forum.  Additionally I've in lured those links in the rotating news and in the news fader on the front page.

Over the years a lot of "orphan" pages have developed, mainly thing I didn't have the time or resources to maintain but didn't want to discard or felt I might use again in the future.  I guess I should go through and put index files in all those directories redirecting people to the front page.  Inalways figured those were kind of like little easter eggs though.   I should probably figure out a way to keep people from coming to the message board without using a link from another part of the site or a bookmark.

Finally, I don't make a living from this.  In fact it costs mean significant amount of money each year to provide this content for people.  I do this as part hobby and part public service.

I might be able to help you set up a menu. It's been a while since I've worked with SMF, but I think you could just add the menu to one of the template files. If you're interested, let me know. I'll get a copy of SMF and try to figure out where the code should go.

Sure, if you're interested send me a PM and we can talk about it.

In regards to the time issue at the LRN.  I had two parties at the ranches this week and I believe that I received the full agreed upon time, if not even a fuzz more.

Also in both cases, after the activities were over, I was not rushed to put my hat back on and get out.

In both instances, the lady and I took our time getting our boots back on and moved out at a leisurely pace so to speak.

Crock is a pretty smart guy and a big spender at the LRN.  If they were going to short someone time, I doubt they'd risk loosing all his business by playing clock games with him.

If he felt he was getting short changed, I have a hard time envisioning him continuing to spend so much money there.  Particularly when there is some quality competition out there.

I would be a more likely target for such nonsense and I felt I got a fair if not modestly generous clock.

Whatever though.  You kids continue to bitch, moan, and make unsubstantiated claims please.

I'm a bit busy trying to figure out my next trip and write some reviews of the phenomenal time I had with a couple of great ladies over the last 48 hrs to truly give a flying ducky right now.

First off, I'm far from a kid.   Second without a timer any opinion (claim) is unsubstantiated.   It's common knowledge in this group that the cashiers at the LR (formerly BR2, formerly Kitty's) often make the intercom call early and I've had it happen anywhere from 15 minutes to a half-hour early.  In almost every case the girl has ended up making it right.   Your claims are just as unsubstantiated as any other.

Most guys who visit brothels tend to suffer from what I've called "time dilation syndrome".   I've seen guys claim they had an hour party and if you put a clock on them going back to the room and then coming back to the parlor it was more like 30 minutes.   That's fine as long as they felt they got their time but just because they felt everything was fine doesn't mean someone else doesn't feel they got interrupted by an early call.

You want to make sure there is no nonsense, put a timer in the ladies room. That will never happen. Until then, I ALWAYS have my iPod on me and it has a CLOCK. For the record, I have never had "time" issues with my parties at the LRN and I have had plenty of them.

If I did have an issue, I most certainly would take it up with the Madame first, second time and it would be all over this message board , favorite house or not, I take that shit serious. Reviews written to promote ladies shouldn't reveal this type of information IMO.

That is what I am saying.  I DO NOT feel I was shorted.  If anything I might have gotten a bit of extra time.

If I felt I needed to take my own timer into a party, frankly I would probably feel I had booked with the wrong lady.

Just got back from the LRN and I only have good things to say about how I was treated by the ladies and the staff.  I felt like a celebrity when I got there, I had so many ladies and staff fawning over me.

Again, I have no complaints about time at the LRN.

I have to ask IB.  If you felt you were getting shorted time so much, why did you keep going back ?

P.S.  Slednex YIKES !!  For once we actually somewhat agree on something, although I'll not be taking a stopwatch into a party with me.  PEOPLE RUN FOR YOUR BUNKERS THE END OF THE WORLD IS NEAR  !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Ummmm......excuse me, why is a review about me being hijacked?! ;)

Can we stop the madness? Mistakes happened. Crock knew it was just that and nothing more, and he decided to include it in the review because it was funny to us, because we don't sweat the small stuff.

Just sayin'.

Ruby, got nothing but love for ya but can't you tell ?  Thread jacking is the name of the game here lol  !!  Speaking of that, what do you think of the most recent political events Northsouthern Hemisphere of Freedonia ?  Do you think they'll actually impeach the duke and replace him with a democratically elected military coup ?   ;D

P.S.  Crock, nice review all bullshit aside.

I never said I felt I was getting shorted.   I simply stated that an early intercom call from the cashier is a common occurrence at the Love Ranch and that in almost all instances the lady made it right.   It is irritating though and I'm not the only one that feels that way.   I'm sure I'll go from being called a kid to an old fart here but I once again feel I should talk a little history.   Brothels have always had listening devices, at least since I've been going which is about 20 years, to listen in on negotiations and in case the girl got in trouble with the client.   Back in the day most brothels allowed the girls to time their own parties.   In the early 90s I had at least two parties where after several hours I told the lady that I couldn't stay any longer and had to leave.   In houses that were a little more demanding they would have a manager or a girl come buy and knock on the girls door to let her know she should start wrapping things up.   Dennis was the first to use the two-way intercom to have cashier's call in for the lady to either get more money or end the party and I don't know of anyone who likes it.   I don't know whether they don't use timers, don't have enough timers, don't set the timers correctly, get confused and look at the wrong timer, just want to fuck with people, or what, any of those could be a reason for early calls but they do happen.
