It was a 90-day license suspension from when the incident occurred (early October?) so should be back open right after the 1st of January with 1 year probation (meetings with probation officers and inspections presumably).
The actual incident was reported to have happened on September 10. The city council hearing where the suspension happened was October 8. I'm guessing it is 90 days from October 8, so February 8 or so?

Around January 8... February would be 120 days.
But yes you are otherwise correct, I watched the council meeting someone linked to, the 90 day suspension started at the council meeting around October 8th.
Should point out that this is when they CAN reopen, doesn't mean they will. Unfortunately they are one of the houses that for the most part stays clear of the internet, so you'd probably need to call them or see if someone posts a trip report from Elko and observes them being open. Might take a few days to get the ball rolling once they can reopen.

Good point. I kept putting Sue's off. I should've tried it, while I had the chance.

After seeing what happened with Love Ranch South I'm actually making an effort to expand my horizons beyond Monas/Inezs, and I think everyone should.
Only made it to southern Nevada 1 time when Shady Lady, Angels, Bikinis, and Love Ranch South were open. I mean it was my first time and I had only planned on having one party, which was at the Shady Lady. Unbeknownst to me 3 of those houses would close the next year. And unfortunately the years that followed were very difficult for me, financially, emotionally and physically, so I didn't make it back until early 2020, Love Ranch South had long since closed. Kind of kicking myself for not driving by it then.
I really hope Sues does reopen. But when I saw the owner at the council meeting, I just feel like he will be calling it quits sooner than later, and I worry he might decide not to reopen. Honestly my desire for an Elko trip is way less with it closed, I like the option even if I don't go to that house. Dovetail was another one, glad I made it there as I doubt it's coming back. Thinking Bella's might be the next one I make a point of going to. Desert Roses owner is younger, he has a long time to go.

Yeah given that all of that went down in September/October of this year, a 3-month suspension will mean a potential reinstatement in Q1 2025 (Feb?) at the earliest. I hope.
I share a lot of our concerns, given what I've seen and heard surrounding the hearing and license suspension, but I like to remain cautiously optimistic.
SMRKIA raises some good points; those things he listed are some of the reasons why I made it a point to expand out beyond Elko and to check out Mustang (again) and Calico this last time I was out in NV. I love Elko, but I do agree: we gotta support as many different NV houses as we can.
Interesting comments . I thought this thread was about sues?
I have ventured off to check out all the other places recently near elko all the way to vegas and Reno.
I thought the same thing that I should check them all out and support the community .
Unfortunately, no city or brothel has the consistent quality as Mona's and Inez's does. Sues and desert rose were better than other cities as well for sure. So much quality and quanity in elko
Further, many places over charge for a lady that isn't worth it.
Yes I say check out a few places but unless you are loaded I really don't see the point in venturing off when there are so many benefits to elko. So much so that elko is definitely the best place to monger . With all the amenities and things to do outside of the brothel in comparison to other places it is a no brainer.
Cool ladies, nice rooms, great food, and fair brothel prices make elko the place to go. IMHO.
Since we're off topic here, I'll say that I agree with you guys in theory that we should spread the love and wealth around to different houses and ladies and I'm all for it and it sounds grand and noble. I would dearly love to service all of the ladies at every house in the state, lol.
Practically though, the reality for me is that as long as I am painfully employed with/for family, I have no vacation time (or other benefits except for which I pay, don't worry I make decent money) and must daytrip to Elko (closest red-light destination to me up here in BFE Idaho).
Lucky for me, as Jackhammer (and others elsewhere) point out, it is the best destination available, with the most bang for the buck from what I can tell from extensive research on the forum here.
Just my 2.5 cents.

This thread is indeed about Sue's, and the bulk of my post was about Sue's. However, I don't see any reason why that should preclude any tangentially relevant discussion.
I don't think SMRKIA's and my comments made for much of a derail (if it even could be considered a topic derail at all); I can't speak for him but I am painfully aware that the situation for many houses (including Sue's) is so precarious and some of us are just worried that there's a non-zero chance that Sue's might go the way of some of the other houses that closed up in the past few years. No hostility or derailing intended, and sorry if it came off that way.

I don't think any of us are in disagreement here: at least for me personally, Elko is my favorite place to go in NV and my favorite house is Mona's, so we're mostly of like mind here. Awesome ladies, great amenities, good pricing, easy process with Louis and (up until recently) the ease of Sue's unique MO all make Elko our destination of choice.

I know where you're coming from; vacation time and (for me at least) finances have been historically scarce for me in the past, though recently I'm been fortunate to have a bit of vacation and a bit of savings that helped me explore beyond a bit. Still, in the end, I always find myself going back to Elko.
Speaking of Elko, and going back on topic: let's hope sometime in Q1 2025 that the lights go back on at Sue's again and I can once again stand on that mat at the front door and get "processed" and get that ice-cold bottle of water! :)
Yes, I really do hope they can get rolling and back up to speed quickly starting in January while retaining most of their crew they had built up to.
"Processed" is a great polite euphemism (instead of groped, fondled or man handled, lol)
After a rumor that one of the closed houses was for sale.....I spent some time doing follow-up with some computer work...and I found nothing to indicate Sue's, Dovetail or Donna's was for sale...
So hopefully they'll come back..

For Sues, granted it was so confusing what was said at the hearing, but it sounded like it was the owners step kids that manage it. Maybe he could sell it to them for a dollar.
Guess we are getting off topic again, but the owner of Dovetail had a property for rent as a residence, I looked at tax records of Elko county, he doesn't own any properties around that size (4 bed/2 bath) other than the Dovetail. Of course without an address I can't be sure, but I was thinking it might be the Dovetail.
Could it perhaps be a long closed brothel, like Angels? Green Lantern was for sale last year and was purchased by a neighboring business (think it was an electrician) with intentions to use the land to expand his business, not to reopen it.
If one is for sale don't let people from Texas find out.
I think I asked this in the past but not sure if anything has changed now. If one wants to have two hours or an hour and a half, does Sue's allow such accommodation?
Also, I've seen a post from a while back about how Sue's offers many services with different names under Appetizer and Entree or something like that. Do they still offer this? If so, I understand limited English speaking is something to be aware of so how does someone like me translate the "menu"to understand what the offering entails..?

Hi NightTraveler-
I don't remember you asking the question before, but the answer is yes, you can party with a lady for more than an hour if you wish, as long as they don't have another appt. right after yours. Mickey asked me at our 2nd party if I wanted a 2nd hour and Yami offered me more than 1 hour on another occasion. Sue's frequently only ran with 1 or 2 ladies in house at any given time between the summer of '22 until the spring of '23 when they started getting more ladies, so at times were quite busy with lots of appointments. It's hard to say how many will be left standing, come time to open as early as next month.
Regarding your other question concerning the appetizers and entrees, I'm not familiar with those, just having done the standard parties there. I have always recommended calling Annie the bartender/manager/hostess to ask any questions about the ladies or services, or even book appts (hence why they have been texting me with new ladies since last year). She is quite helpful, and her English is passably decent (if she's still there).
I see now that they have totally changed their website or haven't fully launched the new one (perhaps since they aren't open yet?) since I last looked, and it's even less helpful now, which was a common complaint.
Hello Rabnut, thank you very much for your very detailed answer, I find it incredibly helpful :)
