1) MGM/Mirage Players Club does not give comps for eating, sleeping, or attending shows in their hotel.  That sucks.

2) Homestead Road - With the exception of little traffic at Terrible's, no other activity happening.  Looked like a lot of property has been abandoned.

3) US95 North - Repaving project occuring between Mercury and the Pahrump cut-off.  No construction activities were being performed while I traveled this area, but they still only allowed traffic to flow in one direction at a time.  Sign posted stating delays could be up to 1/2 hour.  I experienced 10 minutes each way.

4) Two field reports submitted.

Glennster... I'm by no means a high roller, but I'm a member of the MGM/Mirage players club and I've been receiving tons of offers from most of the MGM/Mirage properties in Vegas including comped rooms, food credit, freeplay, show tickets, etc.

Back in July, I stayed at the Luxor for 2 weekend nights and they comped my room, $100 in food credit, and I also received $100 in freeplay.  I also spoke with a casino host at the Players Club booth and I was able to get free tickets to Fantasy.  All together, I spent 8 night in Vegas using various comped room offers from 3 different players clubs (MGM/Mirage, Boyd, and Wynn/Encore).  :)

Even if you only gamble a little, you should still be receiving some players club offers.  ::)

I think he means they don't put points in the account for seeing shows or eating in the restaurants.  Some casinos give you points for spending money anywhere in their hotel not just at the tables.

Glennster, would you be willing to share why you wouldn't recommend Dawn of the CR?  Was it price, service, both?

IB - Thanks for adding that clarification.  Previous stays had gotten me comps during my stay.

I do receive e-mail offers from all of the hotels for various discounts.

As far Dawn is concerned - YMMV as usual. Once that I had heard her story of why she was working at the ranch, the party turned went down from there. As far as price goes, I gave my usual low number and she bump it up minimally.  Service-wise, she went through the motions of anything that I had asked.
